This blog post has stats from Real Networks that indicate that visitors stay 78% longer on sites with video (a reasonable conclusion because they are …umm…watching videos). One stat that our user data doesn’t agree with is that 90% of visitors will watch videos. We measure initial engagement for real estate videos pretty closely, our best sites have upwards of 70% of the visitors on a given page actually clicking to watch a video which is an amazing number. Most of sites run between 30%-50%.
I’d be interested in knowing how they came to the 90% statistic. Perhaps, they are specifically referring to listing pages which would be higher. Thoughts?
